At Family Alliance, we are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people throughout the area. Although a portion of the cost for these services is provided by funders such as United Way and State and County agencies, 60 to 70% our services are funded through fees for service and agency fundraising.
Without the support of those we serve and their families, we would not be able to provide high quality care that makes a difference in the lives of so many. There are many ways you can help us do this.
Donations
Even a small donation is appreciated and important to use. Our piggy banks are located at businesses throughout the county and are always available to anyone who would like to support our
"Penny Project." We are also happy to accept jars, coffee cans, bags, etc. of pennies that you can drop off at the agency or arrange for use to pick up.
Other ways to support us financially are through planned giving, corporate sponsorship, or donation matching by your employer. Family Alliance is also building an endowment through McHenry County Community Foundation. Please contact our development department for more information about these options.

Events
We hold various fundraising events throughout the year, such as our annual silent auction dinner in September. Check out our Events page for more information on our upcoming fundraising efforts.
Volunteering
Support can also come through volunteering. At Family Alliance, opportunities for volunteering include help with our August mailing, working in our garden anytime between May and September, using a special talent to entertain our clients, teaching a craft or skill in our REACH Program or simply lending a hand in the kitchen from time to time.

Quarterly, we send out a newsletter to update our community on our news and events and to offer information about the special needs of those we serve. If you have friends or family members who would like to receive this newsletter, please let us know so that we can add them to our mailing list.
