Our National Adult Day Services Association (NADSA) award-winning Memory Care and Respite Program promotes cognitive and physical stimulation in a socialized setting. This program offers adults with cognitive or memory impairment the opportunity to reach their potential within their range of ability, which enables them to remain independent and in the community. Interest areas are set up throughout the dayroom to allow for individual participation and to encourage success by incorporating Montessori principles into the program model. Various activities are scheduled throughout the day on our program calendar. As well, some programming is geared to meet the needs of persons living with symptoms of a neurocognitive disorder such as dementia. Additionally, the program provides respite for family caregivers.
Clients are offered door-to-door transportation services via buses staffed with Family Alliance employees certified in First Aid and CPR. In addition to transportation, the program offers a light breakfast and full lunch.
Program hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participants can attend regularly up to 5 days per week, depending on their needs. Arrangements can be made to attend the program occasionally through our Occasional Care program.
